James P. Johnson - Mule Walk Stomp (1939)

One of the most celebrated James P. Johnson's compositions for the piano. He has composed it at a young age, when he was pianist at the 'Jungle Casino' around 1913. His memorable 1939 recording made this tune a reference in stride piano. James P. Johnson show us, on an inflexible tempo, that stride is truly a breathing music.
